ROLF NYLINDER: FISHING & FAMILY

ROLF NYLINDER: FISHING & FAMILY

Filmmaker, musician, trout fan, Rolf Nylinder is arguably the unique voice in fly fishing films. He talks to us about birds vs trout, ninja bears, friends, film director Wes Andersen and Lemmel coffee. As you read Rolf’s story we urge you to break from the text and follow the links to his videos. You won’t regret it.

“Most fishing this year has been close to home in tiny creeks where I know there isn’t really a fish worthy of catching but I’ve got like two hours to go down to the river to see if they’re rising. I can do that with my son on my back in a backpack. The other day he slept for three hours in the middle of the day so I tried to be in the right position when he fell asleep and then I had an hour or two of fishing. It’s getting harder.”

Swedish Filmmaker Rolf Nylinder in “The World According to Rolf” our issue 11 profile.
