Half-shark, half-stingray, the lesser guitarfish (AKA sandsharks/ sandies), are a gem of South Africa’s West Coast, and the ambush-fly angler’s dream come true. In this latest film Houdini by The Mission’s Matt Kennedy, anglers Jimmy Eagleton and Leonard Flemming explore three different habitats along the West Coast, showing just how tricky fly fishing for sandsharks can be, and just how experienced they are in catching them.
