GNARLY FROG – STEP-BY-STEP FLY TYING VIDEO

GNARLY FROG – STEP-BY-STEP FLY TYING VIDEO

The Gnarly Frog is a topwater bass fly designed for warm water surface bass fly fishing. Besides having a space age foam popper head design, the Gnarly Frog’s appeal is the two reverse-tied zonker legs that give the popper a splayed out silhouette. In this video, Platon Trakoshis (aka Pla) of Them Lucky Bastards goes through the steps on how to tie the Gnarly Frog from tail to top, explaining the details behind what makes this padda pop.

Pla explains how to tie the Gnarly Frog bass popper. Watch the full video below.

  1. I read this every time I see it pop up in my mail. I just love the mag. First I think you have one of the best fly tiers since Bob Popovic. Second it is so nice to see what another country does when it comes to fishing and fly tying. Thirdly I like all the stories and step by step fly tying. An all round great magazine. Way to go.
