ROLF NYLINDER SOUTH AFRICA TOUR

ROLF NYLINDER SOUTH AFRICA TOUR

We’ve been working on getting one of our favourite filmmakers, Rolf Nylinder, musician Håvard Stubø (of Jazz and Fly Fishing) and Podsol/Lemmel Kaffee head honcho Markus Lemke to South Africa for a while now and finally the trio took us up on the offer.

Their reasons for making the journey all the way from Scandinavia are two-fold. To fish – obviously (a smorgasbord of Cape streams and Lesotho is lined up for them), but also to show us what their fishing is all about. They have a new show they have been running in Europe that showcases a previously unreleased film from Rolf called ‘A NOT TOO STEADY FLOW OF MAYFLIES’, plus a talk/Q&A from Håvard on fly fishing for trout and Arctic Char in Swedish Lapland.

Håvard says, “The theme of both our talk and the film is ‘A season of dry fly fishing in Northern Scandinavia – when, where and how?’ We´ll deal with relevant destinations, hatches, fish species and techniques. We´ll touch upon other cool fishing opportunities in the area, such as salmon fishing, pike fishing and saltwater fishing, and we´ll also do a Q&A towards the end where we´ll answer all questions that the audience might have. And yes, Markus will be dancing seductively throughout the whole thing.”
