While taking in all the skyscrapers, fancy cars and the general otherworldly experience that Dubai is, The Mission’s Matt Kennedy found that the true wealth of the desert city was in its prolific shoals of queenfish that local fly fishing outfitter Ocean Active Fly are tapping into.

Like many of us, for a long time Matt’s knowledge of fly fishing didn’t extend past that of trout fishing. However, after being indoctrinated in The Mission’s cult of fly fishing, his lust for new species and new experiences grew. On a trip that would reunite his with his oldest brother (living as an expat in Dubai), and introduce him to some of the funnest sport fishing in the industry, Matt’s fly fishing abilities put through the ringer.
