I was fishing the surf for kob with Jannie Visser recently. High tide at mid day (= kob) and the water was looking so good. Instead of my go-to silicone mullet, I opted for a Sponge Bob. Bigger profile, more bulk and longer movement.

To my surprise Sponge Bob got the approval of a blacktail, all 38 cm of it! The biggest I’ve ever seen. These little bastards will never fail to amaze me. Also got them on Brine Maggots, our shrimp gurgler.
