Fly fishing guide James Kirsten of African Waters, on his Lesotho Loaf, his Bokong Bread, his Basotho Brioche.
āOne advantage of guiding in Lesotho is that there isnāt much out here. Unreal scenery, breathtaking views and phenomenal fishing, yes. . . but the convenience of a small Pick ‘n Pay or Spar to grab a loaf of bread? Not so much. Thatās why the Makhangoa Community Camp is not only a top fishing camp, but also a world class high altitude bakery, with their Lesotho Loaf.
āThere are many ways to make bread, for sure. But time and effort seem to be valuable commodities these days. So here is a quick and easy step-by-step process to make our homemade honey loaf. Itās an absolute cracker with guests as the baking process is entertaining and the bread tastes great. It works with almost anything from a morning fry-up to a hot chicken curry (it also impresses the hell out of the betties, boet!). Give it a bash, you wonāt be disappointed.ā
- 2 cups white bread flour

- Ā¾ packet yeast (7/8 grams)
