One half of film crew Scholars & Gentlemen (who shot our Trevor Sithole video in issue 2), Greg Lomas is always on the cutting edge of what’s cool. Hipsters want to be him, but by the time they catch up, he’s moved on. He came up with our issue 13 playlist while lying in bed at 11am on a Wednesday morning using his Bose headphones, sipping (from a handmade ceramic cup) his home-brewed cortado made with beans from caracal poop and milk from his permaculture goat tethered in the yard. When he’s not playing his lute or making award-winning documentaries, like To Skin a Cat (www.toskinacat.org), you’ll find him catching trout in the Natal Midlands. The perfect playlist for heading into the hills on a trout-hunting mission, he discovered many of these bands before they had even formed. It’s a cracker. Enjoy.
